2019 Nov 11 Kaş · A Day in the Bay Town

Sleep really settled me under the minaret. At 6:50 the melodious call to prayer flowed in like opera. The town’s lights shut off in unison; the darkness before dawn lasted barely ten minutes before sunlight washed the shadows into their true shapes. The whole town woke—as if summoned by the Lord—repeating the day as always.
The peninsula stretching from the town is like an arm that plucks a small corner from the Mediterranean and holds it tight, forming a natural harbor. To God it’s childishly playful; to people it is motherly, calming sailors in rough seas—unchanged for a thousand years.
Da Wang, the black tom, and his yellow girlfriend Xiao Cai padded alongside me through half the old town. I had only half a chocolate to repay them—better not—so I went to Carrefour. When I came out, Da Wang was sleeping sweetly; I didn’t wake him and we parted there.
Most shops were closed—off-season, and that’s perfect. With only a sprinkling of visitors it felt like we had the old town to ourselves. I could choose angles at will, compose slowly; in the frame, only cats and dogs passed through, reviving the stillness. A modest touch of bougainvillea along the lanes dotted the scene with magenta like an oil painting.
In the central square the star-and-crescent flag fluttered, and a giant portrait of the leader swayed as well. It must be a big day here; beyond the flags, shops celebrated with extra-discount sales.
At the marina the boats lay obediently at their moorings, bobbing in order with the swell, as if ready to depart at any moment. Across the water lies another cradle of civilization—Egypt. The white lighthouse flashed red warnings, answering the day’s last light at sunset. Just like yesterday’s arrival, the quiet, peaceful town welcomed yet another night.

2019年11月11日 卡什 海湾小镇日常，鳗说鳗聊
● 果然在宣礼塔下的睡眠很踏实，6:50分悠扬的诵经声歌剧一般的传入耳中，小镇的灯光统一关闭，黎明前的黑暗仅持续了十来分钟，阴影的轮廓就被阳光冲刷出了真身，整个小镇醒了，就像被“主”呼唤出来的孩子一样，日复一日的重复着。整个小镇延伸出的大陆像一个环绕着的手臂，揪下了地中海的一个小角，就这么贪婪地抱着，形成了一个天然的避风港，对于“神”像孩子一样调皮，对于人则像母亲一样给风浪中的勇士带来绝望中的安抚，千年不变。黑色的大旺和他女朋友黄色的小财一直陪着我走了大半个古城，可惜能拿得出手回报的只有半块巧克力，还是算了吧，去了趟家乐福大超市，出门后大旺正睡得香甜，不想吵醒他，就此别过。大部分的商铺已经闭门谢客，时间尚早，这是淡季的原因，真好。零星的游客就像古城包场，街边的古迹可以按照心情找各种角度进行拍摄，没人打扰，慢慢构图，偶尔穿过在镜头中的只有猫猫狗狗，和谐的过客重新激活了静止画面的生机。小小的街道里适量的三角梅，点缀上了玫红色像是油画一般让人充满想象的空间。在中心的广场上飘动着星月国旗，领导人的巨型画像也同样的随风飘动着，这两天一定是这里的一个大日子，除了旗帜飘扬以外，商铺也在用折上折的促销手段庆祝着。码头的游船都老老实实的趴在码头里，随着海浪微微的，按照一定的规则上下起伏着，有着一种随时准备出航按耐不住的心情，海对面就是另一个文明的发源地，埃及。白色灯塔发出警示的红色闪光，呼应着夕阳西下的最后一缕光线，如昨日到达时一样，安静祥和的小镇迎来了又一个夜晚。
