🐕 Herding Dogs in Action

One of my highlights was the sheepdog competition. These dogs were faster than my classmates chasing the bus in the morning—sharp, smart, and totally in control of the flock. The crowd cheered every time the dogs steered the sheep through the gates like tiny traffic officers.

🚜 Tractor Pull: Muscle on Wheels

The tractor pull contest was pure horsepower. Tractors dragging heavy loads across the dirt looked like giants flexing their muscles. Honestly, I never thought I would clap so hard for a tractor until that moment.

👮 RCMP Marching Show

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police lined up in their iconic red uniforms. They marched with precision, and when the horses stepped in unison, the audience went silent in admiration. Canada’s pride on full display!

🐎 Wagon Racing: Speed and Dust

The wagon races were wild! The hooves thundered, the wheels spun, and dust flew into the crowd. For a second, I felt like I was in a Western movie—but luckily without being chased by bandits.

🎆 Fireworks & Evening Show

At night, the Stampede turned into a festival of lights. Fireworks lit up Calgary’s sky, while live performances brought music and laughter. It was the kind of atmosphere where you just forget the time.

🐶 Dog Agility & Miniature Horse Races

There were also dog agility contests—imagine dogs racing through tunnels and leaping over bars like little acrobats. The miniature horse obstacle races were equally adorable; those tiny horses had serious determination, even if their legs were short.

🐂 Bull Auction

Yes, I even watched a bull auction! The auctioneer spoke so fast it sounded like a rap concert. People raised their paddles, numbers flew, and before I knew it, the bull had a new owner.

🍔 Food Trucks & Funfair Vibes

Between all this action, I went three times in total. Why? Because once is never enough. There were endless food trucks, carnival rides, small merchandise stalls, and the kind of fun that makes you forget you’re actually here with your school.

Calgary Stampede 2025 wasn’t just an event—it was a marathon of excitement. From sheepdogs to fireworks, from tractors to tiny horses, I saw it all. And I left with only one regret: not trying every single food truck. Next year, that’s my mission. 😄
