✨ Fashion Show: A One-Second World Tour

The fashion show felt like a “global costume change game.” Outfits from every corner of the world dazzled the stage. Our China group shone in cheongsams and traditional robes, turning Columbia College into a mini fashion week. Someone joked, “It’s like a United Nations runway right here in Calgary!”

🍜 Food Booths: A World Map on the Tongue

Food booths were organized by regions this year. With the school’s passport, students wandered from room to room, tasting their way around the globe. The Chinese food station? Let’s just say, the aroma alone made other booths quietly step aside.

🀄 Cultural Showcase: Small Props, Big Impact

I brought a Go board and incense tools. Simple, right? But one move on the board, and classmates were already strategizing like pros. Once the incense lit up, the room filled with a serene, mysterious vibe—so much that passersby couldn’t help but stop.

🧭 Passport Adventure: Everyone’s a Traveler

The event passport was a hit. Every classroom meant a new stamp and a new discovery. Students proudly showed off their filled pages like ultimate collectors. Whoever completed the passport became the true “champion traveler” of the day.

International Day is more than a fun festival—it’s a window to the world and a stage for us to share Chinese culture. From food and costumes to Go and incense, we showed that in Calgary’s diverse community, we are both learners and contributors.
